INTERESTED IN BEING A MEMBER OF TEXPART?

Texpart is currently looking for members.

Our goal is to gather and collate data that will lead to a better understanding of ghosts and haunting. In the process of pursuing that goal, we also wish to aid any individuals having problems dealing with or understanding what they believe may be a paranormal situation.  Keep in mind that many people who request and investigation may want to be comforted, educated.

You do not need any expensive or fancy equipment.  Results can be obtained through common sense and paying attention to your environment.  A small portable bag or backpack with a flashlight, some form of camera and a voice recorder often times is all you need.

You MUST have reliable transportation.  On long trips we often carpool but how you get to the investigation site is your responsibility.

You must be 18.  We do have a teen and pre-teen group to help persons under the age of 18 become competant investigators.  However, teen members will NOT be allowed on all investigations.  In all cases, parental permission must be obtained BEFORE you can attend an actual investigation.

All investigations must be performed in a courteous and professional manner.  This means that all investigators must respect the site of the investigation.  No littering, pranks or handling of objects without the owners permission.

No weapons.  Pocket knives/multi-tools are exceptable if small.

No foul or obscene language.  Lets try to keep it clean folks.

No smoking, drinking or illegal drugs at the time of the investigation or in buildings being investigated.  Smoke breaks are called and allowed in designated areas.  Many "ghost" pictures had to be thrown out due to smoke in the picture. Prescription drugs can sometimes affect or judgment or perception as well.  Many "feelings" or emotions could easily be contributed to certain medications.  If not noted ahead of time, the general public can be very tough on results obtained by persons taking certain medications and in the end discredit the entire group. Please let your leads know if this is a potential concern.

Keep an open mind but also let common sense rule.

You must have access to the internet at home and a phone.   We cannot contact you or keep you updated without these.  As an investigator it is your responsibility to check up on Texpart activities via email or on the website.

You must attend 50% of the investigatins and 75% of all special meetings.

If you are able to meet the requirements, please contact us at jj.texpart@gmail.com.
