Texas Paranormal Advanced Research Team

We use a variety of equipment in our investigations. This is an important function as we attempt to look for alternative explanations for paranormal claims and attempt to find evidence of the paranormal.  Equipment is necessary in order to validate personal experiences.  This is just some of the equipment that we use. 

EMF detectors - We use a variety of EMF dectectors, including digital readout detectors and K2 meters.  These meters may help us find alternative explanations of hauntings, but it is also popular belief that "ghosts" can influence electro magnetic fields and respond to questions by using these detectors.

Digital Cameras - Of course cameras are important, as well as how to use them properly for paranormal investigations.  We also have special adapted cameras that can only take in light from the infrared spectrum, and a video recorder that shoots in only UV and IR.  The following are an examples of an IR only picture in the dark using a flash:

Recorders - Voice recorders are important for EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) work, but Texpart seeks quality recordings.  Many recorders of the cheaper variety do not pick up as well, and can contain a lot of background noise.  Texpart uses a variety of high quality recorders that have noise filters and also some that allow for listening live during the recordings, allowing for better investigation techniques.   Below are photos of Ty and Scott listening for EVPs in real time.

IR cameras - Texpart has three DVR camera systems and portable camera systems to record investigations that also allow for night shooting. 

Temperature - Many people have mistakenly used a laser thermometer to measure ambient (or surrounding) temperatures.  These devices only measure surface temperature.  We have devices for both ambient temperatures and surface temperatures.  This is important for measuring cold spots often reported with the paranormal.

Texpart at times may have access to thermal imaging cameras.  

We are doing research with the Mini-box, a device that allows real time communication with the other side.  This device was created by our friend from The Paranormal Way, Ron Ricketts.  Below, the mini-box is being used in downtown McKinney.

Texpart also a variety of other items as well, from household items to specialized equipment.

Instrumental TransCommunication, or ITC, is believed to be a way to communicate with the other side in real time communication. 

Texpart is now conducting research with ITC along with our standard methods of investigation. 

 The Frank's box is a well known device for ITC.  All of his boxes are custom made and there are very few.  However, a friend of ours, Ron R, has developed the Mini-Box using the same concept.  This amazing box deserves further study for applications of the paranormal.

This is an experimental box.  Texpart does not offer the mini-box as proof of the paranormal.  Rather, Texpart does which to study many aspects of paranormal, which includes studies to see if spirits can clearly communicate using such a device.

 ITC session #1 - 5/16/09 - The mini-box was used in one of investigator's homes that is haunted.  Our investigator's dog was heard barking several times.

ITC session #2 - 5/17/09 - Downtown McKinney - the mini-box was used at an outside location where multiple hangings occurred.  The investigators believed that they were hearing "help me" being repeated over and over.  It was not clear if this is what was really being said.  Results inconclusive.

ITC session #3 - 5/17/09 - The Londoner - there did not appear to be any messages.

ITC session #4 - 5/31/09 - business in downtown McKinney.   There appears to be a clear communication.
