I am a resident of Midlothian, TX and my family and I visited the Catfish Plantation to eat once. While in the waiting room, which used to be the enclosed porch of the house, the door to the dinning area kept opening and closing over and over again. It became really cold and my dad began to get annoyed, so he said"Are you coming or going?" After that the door suddenly stopped swinging and didn't move again while we waited. While we were eating, we were seated at the table by the windows where a spirit has been seen. My spoon, which I am sure I had next to my plate, disappeared. I figured my older brother took it to be funny, so I took his. When he asked why and I accused him of taking my spoon, he looked at me with no humor in his expression and assured me that he hadnt, and i was sitting by the wall, no one else had access to my plate or my silverware regardless. We never did find my spoon that night...

Hello to Ty & TexPart ! Because of an unexpected, direct apparitional visitation at my Ft.Worth home with one of the spirits from Catfish Plantation restaurant, following my first foray there in 1990, I later did extensive historical research on the location & on the original owners/family. A brief writeup of my discoveries can be located in the Waxahachie,TX, public library files on the restaurant's ghost tales. All 3 spirits mentioned by psychics in the past have been long misidentified as " Will" , "Caroline" & "Elizabeth". Actual IDs are Jesse Thomas Richards, his wife Sarah Della, & his mother Eliza Herrod Richards. (Baseball player and team manager Paul Richards' family.) No murdered bride there, ever! PR tales are not historical facts which can be documented. I do what I can over the years to respect the memory of these real people, whose spirits linger in their old family home. Unfortunately, they are used for entertainment & profit by the living. Ah, well. An long, uphill battle! Thanks for allowing me to post here. Nancy Poole
